Today we come together to focus our attention on a very special Prayer Registry child, Matthew Raymond Formoso-Ortiz.
Dear Prayer Giver,
Take a moment to sit down and bring all of your awareness into this sacred present moment. Allow your thoughts and cares of the day slip away from you now as you enter the present moment completely. Slowly take in a deep breath and slowly let the breath out; breathing in deeply and exhaling fully. And again, inhale slowly and exhale thoroughly.
As you read these words, take the time to really feel and think about what you are saying, for this is indeed a sacred moment. Dear Matthew, we The Prayer Team, are with you now in thought and spirit. We send you energy and love from our souls to yours and we pray that you will all feel it and know how very loved you are.
Meditation/Visualization: —continue to sit comfortably and allow yourself to be here in the present moment, letting go of your cares and worries of the day.
Now, bring all of your attention to the tip of your nose and imagine that you are the gatekeeper at the gates of a big city and that it is your very important job to watch the coming and the going of your breath. Simply focus all your concentration at the tip of your nose and observe your breath as it enters and leaves you
As you breathe-in, focus on the feeling of the breath as it enters your nostrils
As you breathe-out, focus on the feeling of the breath as it leaves your nostrils
Breathing-in feel the breath coming into you
Breathing-out feel the breath as it leaves you
Continue to focus on your breathing
If your mind wanders away going off into thought,(which is common in meditation) gently bring your focus back to the tip of your nose and resume your position as gatekeeper, watching the coming and going of your breath
As you breathe-in feel the cool air as it enters your nostrils
As you breathe-out feel the warm air as it leaves your nostrils
Breathing-in cool, breathing-out warm
Breathing-in cool, breathing-out warm
In cool, out warm…in cool, out warm
Now as you breathe-in, envision Matthew
standing in the light before you
As you breathe-out, envision Matthew looking vibrant and well
As you inhale, envision drawing energy into you
As you exhale envision directing that energy to Matthew
As you inhale continue to visualize energy entering into you
As you exhale see this energy flowing outward from you and surrounding Matthew
Bathing him in light and loving energy
See him surrounded by energy
See him smiling
See him laughing
See that he is both happy and free
As you breathe-in feel that you are strengthened by this energy
As you breathe-out direct this feeling of strength to Matthew’s
As you breathe-in draw peace into yourself
As you exhale send that feeling of peace to Matthew’s family
Dear Matthew, we all see you smiling and glowing in the light. May you know that LOVE, the one universal sustaining force, is being sent to you right now and always will be. May you feel it and know that love is without end. You will always be loved and you will always be remembered. Love to you dear one. Peace be with you Matthew. We love you, The Prayer Team.
