December 21, 2011—Nathan “Nate” L. Davis-Gilliard Day!

Today we come together to focus our attention on another beloved Prayer Registry child, Nathan “Nate” , who passed on December 21, 2007.

Dear Prayer Giver,

Take a moment to sit down and bring all of your awareness into this sacred present moment. Allow your thoughts and cares of the day slip away from you now as you enter the present moment completely. Slowly take in a deep breath and slowly let the breath out; breathing in deeply and exhaling fully. And again, inhale slowly and exhale thoroughly.

As you read these words, take the time to really feel and think about what you are saying, for this is indeed a sacred moment.

Dear Nathan, We The Prayer Team, are with you now in thought and spirit. We send you energy and love from our souls to yours and we pray that you will feel it and know how very loved you are.

Meditation/Visualization: —continue to sit comfortably and allow yourself to be here in the present moment, letting go of your cares and worries of the day.

Now, bring all of your attention to the tip of your nose and imagine that you are the gatekeeper at the gates of a big city and that it is your very important job to watch the coming and the going of your breath.  Simply focus all your concentration at the tip of your nose and observe your breath as it enters and leaves you.

As you breathe-in, focus on the feeling of the breath as it enters your nostrils

As you breathe-out, focus on the feeling of the breath as it leaves your nostrils

Breathing-in feel the breath coming into you

Breathing-out feel the breath as it leaves you.

Continue to focus on your breathing

If your mind wanders away going off into thought (which is common in meditation) gently bring your focus back to the tip of your nose and resume your position as gatekeeper, watching the coming and going of your breath.

As you breathe-in feel the cool air as it enters your nostrils

As you breathe-out feel the warm air as it leaves your nostrils

Breathing-in cool, breathing-out warm

Breathing-in cool, breathing-out warm

In cool, out warm…in cool, out warm.

Now as you breathe-in, envision Nathan

standing in the light before you

As you breathe-out, envision Nathan looking vibrant and well

As you inhale, envision drawing energy into you

As you exhale envision directing that energy to Nathan

As you inhale continue to visualize energy entering into you

As you exhale see this energy flowing outward from you and surrounding Nathan

Bathing him in light and loving energy

See him surrounded by energy

See him smiling

See him laughing

See that he is happy and free.

As you breathe-in feel that you are strengthened by this energy

As you breathe-out direct this feeling of strength to Nathan’s family

As you breathe-in draw peace into yourself

As you exhale send that feeling of peace to Nathan’s family.

Dear Nathan, we all see you smiling and glowing in the light. May you know that LOVE, the one universal sustaining force, is being sent to you right now and always will be. May you feel it and know that love is without end. You will always be loved and you will always be remembered.  Love to you dear one. Peace be with you Nathan. We love you, The Prayer Team.

    To Nathan’s family,

May you feel your child’s presence especially during this holiday season, and may it bring you peace and comfort.

    • Nancy says:

An amazing occurence happened on Christmas Day. My family was sitting around the dining room table after dinner, playing scrabble like we use to before Nathan Passed. The breeze way door blew open, unexpectedly and our dog, who loved Nathan to play with her, started barking and playing with someone we couldn’t see. She (Monet) would run around and bow her head as if she was being patted on the head. Her tail was wagging and she seemed quite happy. I had chills and for a brief moment we all felt Nathans presence in the room. My infant grandaughter began cooing and smiling to what looked like empty space to the rest of the family. We believe that we were touched by an Angel that Christmas night. My son Nathan

    • Nancy says:

Thankyou God will never forsaken me. He knows just how much we can bare. I had a dream last night that Nate was sitting on a grassy mountain side looking over a valley, with a young man named Dimitri. They were both so peaceful, clear and refreshed like water. Beside them were loaves of bread (long) and they were about to feed the birds. I woke up smiling and at peace. Not sure why the young man was named Damitri, because we don’t know anyone by that name. There is a message of peace in this dream. God Bless

  13. I am so sorry for your loss and I will pray that you are wrapped in a blanket of comfort as you make it through another holiday without your child. My son has been gone for three years and there is an empty place in the room where he should be. I understand your grief and pray that each day you grow stronger and make your angel in heaven proud! For me, it’s never goodbye, it’s until we meet again in heaven. May God bless and keep you!
