July 4, 2012—Cole Griffin Gately Day!

Today we come together to focus our attention on a very beloved Prayer Registry child: Cole Griffin Gately, who passed on July 4, 2010.

Dear Prayer Giver,

Take a moment to sit down and bring all of your awareness into this sacred present moment. Allow your thoughts and cares of the day slip away from you now as you enter the present moment completely. Slowly take in a deep breath and slowly let the breath out; breathing in deeply and exhaling fully. And again, inhale slowly and exhale thoroughly.

As you read these words, take the time to really feel and think about what you are saying, for this is indeed a sacred moment.

Dear Cole,

We The Prayer Team, are with you now in thought and spirit. We send you energy and love from our souls to yours and we pray that you will feel it and know how very loved you are.

Meditation/Visualization: —continue to sit comfortably and allow yourself to be here in the present moment, letting go of your cares and worries of the day.

Now, bring all of your attention to the tip of your nose and imagine that you are the gatekeeper at the gates of a big city and that it is your very important job to watch the coming and the going of your breath.  Simply focus all your concentration at the tip of your nose and observe your breath as it enters and leaves you.

As you breathe-in, focus on the feeling of the breath as it enters your nostrils

As you breathe-out, focus on the feeling of the breath as it leaves your nostrils

Breathing-in feel the breath coming into you

Breathing-out feel the breath as it leaves you.

Continue to focus on your breathing

If your mind wanders away going off into thought (which is common in meditation) gently bring your focus back to the tip of your nose and resume your position as gatekeeper, watching the coming and going of your breath.

As you breathe-in feel the cool air as it enters your nostrils

As you breathe-out feel the warm air as it leaves your nostrils

Breathing-in cool, breathing-out warm

Breathing-in cool, breathing-out warm

In cool, out warm…in cool, out warm.

Now as you breathe-in, envision Cole

standing in the light before you

As you breathe-out, envision Cole looking vibrant and well

As you inhale, envision drawing energy into you

As you exhale envision directing that energy to Cole

As you inhale continue to visualize energy entering into you

As you exhale see this energy flowing outward from you and surrounding Cole

Bathing him in light and loving energy

See him surrounded by energy

See him smiling

See him laughing

See that Cole is happy and free!

As you breathe-in feel that you are strengthened by this energy

As you breathe-out direct this feeling of strength to Cole’s family

As you breathe-in draw peace into yourself

As you exhale send that feeling of peace to Cole’s family.

Dear Cole,

We all see you smiling and glowing in the light. May you know that LOVE, the one universal sustaining force, is being sent to you right now and always will be. May you feel it and know that love is without end. You will always be loved and you will always be remembered.  Love to you dear one. Peace be with you Cole. We love you,

For Cole and your loved ones,
Prayers for you and your loved ones that you all will find comfort and peace in all the good thoughts and blessings sent your way. To your loved ones, may the never-ending love you have for each other bring you the strength to keep putting one foot in front of the other. Cole, know that your loved ones take you with them wherever they go in this life. No matter how long or short your time shared with them here was, their love is just as strong now as when you were physically with them, time nor distance can change that. Please let your loved ones know you are with them always but especially on this day.

    Dearest Cole,
On this, your Angel Day, I am sending you a prayer filled with love, and may you be soaring freely and peacefully on the other side, in the care of our loving Lord. Cole, may you always know how very much you are loved and missed. There are so many prayers of love being sent to you, and may this warm your heart with peace and light. You will always be remembered.
    To Cole’s Family,
I am sending you a prayer filled with love, and may you find some measure of comfort and peace on this difficult anniversary day. There will always be those two days that are impossible for us to forget: the joyous day our child was born and the heartbreaking day our child passed. I fruitlessly try to figure out why parents must bury their children, when it should be the other way around. It does not fit into the normal order of ‘life’ as we perceive it. Nonetheless, it happens. And we hurt. I truly know how much you ache to hug and hold Cole once again. Now you hold him in your heart. And even though his Earthly body has been left behind, take comfort in knowing his soul and spirit are alive and well in that place we have yet to know. Cole can feel the love being sent to him, and he is happy and loves you very much. He sends his love to you. May you feel his love. May you feel his presence. Cole is always with you in spirit, as you are with him – today, tomorrow, forever…… And on one Blessed Day you will be reunited.
